The University of Taipei (UT) continues to actively foster international educational partnerships. Recently, a Mandarin teacher from Bodin Phatthana School in Nonthaburi, Thailand, visited UT for an academic exchange. This visit stems from the connection established through the 2024 Thailand Mandarin Teacher Training Program, where both institutions began their collaboration. In 2025, the two parties officially signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU), marking a significant milestone toward long-term cooperation.
During the exchange, the Thai teacher visited UT’s Department of Chinese Language and Creative Writing and the Master’s Program in Teaching Chinese as a Second Language. The visit provided in-depth insights into UT’s strengths in Mandarin education, teacher training, and practical teaching experiences. Both sides engaged in meaningful discussions about future collaboration, including the possibility of UT sending graduate students in Mandarin education to Thailand for teaching internships, and inviting Thai students to UT for Mandarin language learning or participation in short-term study tours.
This exchange exemplifies UT’s commitment to strengthening ties with educational institutions in Southeast Asia and expanding the global reach of Mandarin language education. By promoting diverse forms of collaboration, UT aims to nurture Mandarin educators with a strong international perspective and further contribute to the development of global Chinese language education.
UT looks forward to deepening its partnership with Bodin Phatthana School and working together to achieve fruitful and sustainable outcomes.
