To further expand academic cooperation with its Japanese partner institutions, the University of Taipei was honored to welcome a delegation from Kinjo University in Ishikawa Prefecture, Japan, on Wednesday, June 25, 2025. The delegation was led by Mr. Kenji Sakaguchi, accompanied by Coach Mutsumi Tsunogoshi and a translator, all of whom expressed strong enthusiasm for promoting Japan–Taiwan higher education exchange.
With arrangements made by the Office of International Affairs and the Office of the President, the visiting delegation held meetings throughout the afternoon with the Director of the Department of Health and Welfare, the Dean of the College of Sports, the Directors of the Graduate Institute of Sports Training and the Department of Sports Health, as well as the Section Chiefs of both the Sports Department and the Office of International Affairs. The discussions focused on key areas of international collaboration, including student exchange, short-term study programs, and faculty visits. Both sides expressed the hope to develop more diverse and practical forms of cooperation, with dual degree programs identified as a potential priority initiative.
In the evening, representatives from both universities gathered for a dinner meeting, providing an opportunity for more relaxed yet meaningful exchanges on their visions and expectations for international higher education cooperation.
The visit from Kinjo University not only deepened the friendship between the two institutions but also marked another step forward in fostering substantive academic exchange between Taiwan and Japan. Both universities look forward to continuing to strengthen their partnership and to creating more cross-border learning and development opportunities for their students.
