臺北市立大學與英國斯特拉斯克萊德大學洽談 4+1 雙聯學位合作
臺北市立大學於2025年9月24日與英國斯特拉斯克萊德大學舉行線上交流會議，雙方重點討論未來「4+1」雙聯學位合作模式及跨學科學術交流方向。斯特拉斯克萊德大學教授 Robert Graham 出席會議，並介紹工程學院各主要學科領域及雙聯學位合作經驗。
本次會議特別聚焦於新型態的雙聯學位模式。此模式相較傳統「2+2」留學方式更具彈性，學生可直接在臺灣完成本科課程，再到英國完成碩士學位。透過該模式，學生不僅可節省往返交通，也能更順利地獲得國際學位認證。同時，斯特拉斯克萊德大學表示，將提供獎學金，進一步提升合作的吸引力。
雙方亦討論未來潛在合作學科，涵蓋建築系、生醫工程系、化學工程系、土木工程系、工業工程與產品設計系、電子電機工程系、機械與航太工程系以及造船與海洋工程系等。
會議中雙方並確認，未來可透過簽署合作備忘錄（MOU）及協議（MOA），推動師生互訪、跨國研究及學術合作，並進一步探索碩士班雙聯學位的可行性，以提升臺北市立大學國際化發展潛力。
University of Taipei and the University of Strathclyde Discuss 4+1 Dual Degree Collaboration
On September 24, 2025, the University of Taipei (UT) held an online meeting with the University of Strathclyde, focusing on the "future '4+1' dual degree program" and interdisciplinary academic exchange. Professor Robert Graham from the University of Strathclyde graciously attended the meeting and introduced the key disciplines within the Faculty of Engineering as well as his experience with dual degree collaborations.
The meeting particularly focused on the new dual degree model. Compared with the traditional“2+2”study abroad format, this model offers greater flexibility, allowing students to complete their undergraduate studies in Taiwan before pursuing a one-year master's program in the UK. Through this program, students are able to reduce travel expenses while obtaining international degree recognition more efficiently. Additionally, the University of Strathclyde indicated that scholarships will be made available, further enhancing the attractiveness of the collaboration.
The two parties also discussed potential future areas of collaboration, covering departments including Architecture, Biomedical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Civil Engineering, Industrial Engineering and Product Design, Electronic and Electrical Engineering, Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering, and Naval Architecture and Marine Engineering.
During the meeting, both sides confirmed that they would promote faculty and student exchanges, cross-border research, and academic collaboration through the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) and a Memorandum of Agreement (MOA). The feasibility of the master's dual degree program will also be further explored to enhance the University of Taipei's international development potential.
