Office of International Affairs Hosts Heartwarming 2025 Fall Year-End Party for International Students
To continue supporting the academic and daily well-being of international students and to express appreciation for the dedication of international buddies throughout the semester, the Office of International Affairs hosted a Year-End Care Dinner for International Students on the evening of December 18. International students and buddies gathered together to share a warm and joyful evening at the close of the year.
During the event, the University presented Certificates of Exchange Student, Certidicates of Student Buddies, and Certificates of Mandarin Courses, recognizing international students’ academic efforts and sincerely thanking international buddies for their companionship and support in helping students adapt more smoothly to campus life. The event attracted approximately hundreds of international students and buddies, and the 30 dishes thoughtfully prepared by the Office of International Affairs were quickly enjoyed, creating a lively and welcoming atmosphere.
In addition to the award ceremony, a quiz session was arranged, with students enthusiastically participating and actively raising their hands. Laughter and applause filled the venue, vividly reflecting the energy of multicultural exchange on campus. Demonstrating his strong support for international students, President Yin-Hao Chiu also prepared 20 UTaipei–themed gifts, including popular hoodies and travel tumblers. The lucky draw sparked great excitement and brought the event to its peak.
As the year draws to a close, the Dean for International Affairs, David Chen, kindly reminded international students who are far from home to stay in touch with their families and share their well-being. Warm wishes were also extended to all students for a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year. The party concluded successfully amid warmth and laughter, marking a meaningful highlight in this semester’s international exchange activities.
