Description:
From March 1st to 5th, 2021, Hokkaido University of Education (HUE) collaborated with the University of Taipei (UT) to hold a virtual exchange program, which 51 students (27 Japanese students and 24 Taiwanese students) participated in. Andrew Ryan, the teacher of HUE, hosted the five-day online sessions with the assistance of Dr. Hung-Shu Chen of UT, Prof. Yorozuya of HUE, and the two TAs, Emily of HUE and Joy of UT. The participants were divided into 12 groups, discussing and doing presentations about various global issues, such as climate change, gender inequality, food waste, elimination of hunger, and plastic recycling.
