Introduction to the Office of International Affairs, University of Taipei

The Office of International Affairs (OIA) at the University of Taipei was established in 2011, originally as the International and Cross-Strait Affairs Division under the Research and Development Office. In response to organizational changes in December 2015, it was formally designated as the Office of International Affairs. The OIA is dedicated to serving students and fostering international academic exchanges, with key responsibilities including:

  • Promoting international cooperation and exchanges
  • Recruiting international and overseas Chinese students
  • Enhancing the university’s internationalization

The OIA acts as a bridge between the university and the global community, helping students and scholars reach international horizons. It oversees international affairs, serving as a single point of contact for students, professors, and guests to access international information. It also facilitates interactions and collaborations with international scholars and dignitaries, functioning as a platform for international exchange.

The OIA comprises two divisions and one program: International and Cross-Strait Academic Exchange Division, Mandarin Learning and Global Education Division, and International Foundation Program.
