加拿大滑鐵盧大學訪問北市大深化國際交流與合作契機

滑鐵盧大學(University of Waterloo)於 2026 年 4 月 8 日訪問臺北市立大學,由該校行銷與招生總監 Grant Leach 率團來訪。
本校由國際暨兩岸學術交流組組長莊武龍代表接待,雙方就未來合作方向進行深入交流與討論。

本次會議聚焦於推動本校學生赴加拿大參與英語遊學團之可行性,並進一步探討多元合作模式,包括短期課程規劃、學生移動機制,以及未來簽署合作備忘錄等重要議題,期望建立穩定且長遠之夥伴關係。

會中,滑鐵盧大學表示,可依本校需求規劃為期一週之客製化遊學課程,並以其優勢領域——體育相關主題為核心,結合專業課程與實務體驗,課程結束後將頒發修業證明。
該方案需達一定人數方可成團,亦可視情況與其他大專校院合作辦理。此外,未來若雙方簽署合作備忘錄,滑鐵盧大學亦將提供相關優惠措施,以提升學生參與意願。

雙方亦就後續合作進行初步規劃,包括交換合作文件、研議合作細節,以及評估校內相關系所之參與機制。透過本次會談,雙方均表達持續深化合作之高度意願,
期盼未來在學生交流與國際教育合作方面開創更多元之發展機會。

臺北市立大學長期致力於推動國際交流與合作,此次與滑鐵盧大學之交流,將有助於拓展學生國際視野,並進一步提升學校整體國際化發展能量。

 

A delegation from University of Waterloo visited University of Taipei on April 8, 2026. The delegation was led by Grant Leach, Director of Marketing and Recruitment.
The meeting was hosted by Office of International Affairs Director Wu-long Jhuang.

The discussion focused on the feasibility of organizing English study tours in Canada for students from the University of Taipei.
Both institutions also explored potential collaboration models, including short-term programs, student mobility opportunities, and the future signing of
a Memorandum of Understanding, aiming to establish a long-term and sustainable partnership.

During the meeting, the University of Waterloo proposed the possibility of offering a customized one-week study program tailored to the needs of the University of Taipei.
The program would focus on its strengths in sports-related fields, combining academic learning with practical experiences. Participants would receive a certificate upon completion.
The program would require a minimum number of participants and could potentially be organized in collaboration with other universities.
In addition, preferential measures may be provided should an MoU be established in the future, further encouraging student participation.

Both sides also outlined preliminary plans for future collaboration, including the exchange of official documents, further discussions on partnership details, and the evaluation of potential departmental participation. The meeting concluded with mutual interest in deepening cooperation and expanding opportunities in student exchange and international education.

The University of Taipei has long been committed to promoting international engagement. This visit marks a significant step toward enhancing students' global perspectives and strengthening the university's international development.
