臺北市立大學博愛校區於 2026 年 10 月 7 日接待美國加州大學河濱分校（UCR）Omar Medanat 先生蒞校參訪，由本校國際事務處國際及兩岸學術交流組余佳穎組長及王澤中編審代表接待。雙方透過簡報與影片介紹，深入瞭解彼此的辦學特色與發展方向，並針對未來學術合作與學生海外研習展開積極討論。
會中 UCR 重點介紹了 Professional and Global Education 所推動的 Postgraduate Diploma Programs 以及 Global Workforce Internship Program。雙方特別探討將此類課程與本校學生銜接的可行性，期望讓學生先於北市大完成部分課程後，再赴 UCR 修讀，拓展跨領域學習與海外實習經驗。相關課程銜接與學分採認機制，後續將由雙方進一步確認細節並循校內程序審議。
為幫助本校學生深入瞭解計畫內容，雙方初步規劃於 2026 年 11 月至 12 月上旬舉辦線上說明會。屆時將由 UCR 親自說明課程架構、申請資格、費用及實習細節並即時解答疑問；UCR 亦將全力協助學生辦理課程申請及相關行政程序。

On October 7, 2026, the Bo-Ai Campus of the University of Taipei (UT) hosted Mr. Omar Medanat from the University of California, Riverside (UCR).The University of Taipei was represented by Chia-yin Yu, Director of the International and Cross-Strait Academic Exchange Division; and Ze-Zhong Wang, Executive Officer of the Office of International Affairs. Through presentations and promotional videos, both institutions gained a deeper understanding of each other's academic strengths and strategic directions, engaging in fruitful discussions regarding future academic collaboration and overseas study opportunities for students.
During the meeting, UCR highlighted the Postgraduate Diploma Programs and the Global Workforce Internship Program offered by its Professional and Global Education division. Both sides explored the feasibility of articulating these programs with UT's curriculum, aiming to enable students to complete a portion of their coursework at UT before proceeding to UCR to pursue advanced studies and expand their interdisciplinary learning and overseas internship experiences. Details regarding course articulation and credit transfer mechanisms will be further finalized by both parties and submitted for review through university administrative procedures.
To help UT students gain a comprehensive understanding of the programs, both institutions tentatively plan to hold an online information session between November and early December 2026. Representatives from UCR will present the program structure, application eligibility, tuition and fees, and internship details, as well as answer questions in real time; UCR will also fully assist students with program applications and related administrative procedures.
