Activity Theme: 2025 INTENSE Program Education Forum in Indonesia(Surabaya、Polibatam)
Activity Time: 20th April 2025 to 24th April 2025
Activity Introduction:
In January 2024, the government established overseas bases and liaison points in Vietnam, Indonesia and the Philippines to provide Chinese language preparatory courses, facilitate international cooperation and exchanges, support recruitment for Taiwan’s special programs, and attract international talent.
In alignment with national higher education policies and to strategically recruit international students while enhancing the visibility of the International Industrial Talents Education Special Program (INTENSE Program), UT participated in the 2025 Taiwan INTENSE Program Education Forum on April 21 (Monday) at Airlangga University in Surabaya, and on April 23 (Wednesday) at Politeknik Negeri Batam (Polibatam) in Batam, Indonesia, where we actively promoted the program and engaged in international outreach.
During these visits, our university introduced and promoted its 2025 INTENSE Program, drawing enthusiastic interest from a large number of students. This strong response reflected growing attention to Taiwan's higher education system and demonstrated the appeal of our special programs among international students.
Looking ahead, UT will continue to deepen its engagement in the Indonesian market by strengthening partnerships with local academic institutions. Through diverse recruitment channels, we aim to build UT's international education brand, attract more outstanding international students to study in Taiwan, and further expand opportunities for global exchange.
Participants of UT:
Dr. Ching-Tai Chen, Assistant Professor, Department of Computer Science
Mr. Deyao Liu, Administrative Assistant, Office of International Affairs
