日本松江市結緣北市大校慶　日本文化體驗深受好評

為歡慶北市大130週年校慶活動，臺北市友好城市之一的日本島根縣松江市政府11月29日（六）蒞臨本校博愛校區，用濃厚日本風味的文化體驗，和本校師生一同結緣。

島根縣松江市素有「結緣之地」的美稱，傳說到訪之人皆能結識到各種奇妙的緣分。因此在本次活動中，師生們可以親手製作象徵照亮幸福道路的「特色水燈」，並獲得松江觀光大使「路上詩人」石田皓太親筆揮毫的「國寶松江城御朱印」，祈願平安順遂。此外，還可以書寫結緣繪馬，把心願帶往松江市，串連過去、現在與未來的美好祝福。

松江城歷史悠久，歷史記載城主熱愛茶道文化，甚至將搭配茶飲的和菓子發揚光大，使松江市被譽為日本三大茶都之一。在本次校慶活動中，松江市政府也安排體驗抹茶文化，快速攪拌抹茶、產生濃密氣泡，稍苦的抹茶搭配甜而不膩的和菓子，讓松江的獨特氣味在口腔綻放。抹茶體驗結束後，還能穿上精緻的浴衣，在松江城的大圖背景前合影，彷彿漫步在城下町，十分愜意浪漫。

松江市政府除了本次校慶的觀光合作之外，還有一項計畫──水燈路藝術創作合作，將和本校視覺藝術學系及學習與媒材設計學系共同創作，打造屬於臺北市與松江市的結緣記憶，期盼透過北市大擔任城市交流的橋樑，使兩市的友誼更加升溫。

Japanese Cultural Experience Receives Warm Praise

To celebrate the 130th anniversary of the University of Taipei, representatives from Matsue City, Shimane Prefecture—one of Taipei City’s sister and friendly cities—visited the University’s Bo’ai Campus on Saturday, November 29, bringing a rich array of Japanese cultural experiences to foster meaningful connections with students and faculty.

Matsue City is renowned as the “City of Enmusubi (Connections and Bonds),” a place where visitors are said to encounter all kinds of special and serendipitous ties. During the event, participants created symbolic “Water Lanterns,” representing the illumination of a happy path ahead. They also received a handwritten Goshuin of the National Treasure Matsue Castle, crafted by Matsue Tourism Ambassador and “Poet of the Streets,” Kota Ishida, as a blessing for peace and good fortune. In addition, attendees wrote their wishes on Ema plaques, which will be brought back to Matsue—linking past, present, and future with heartfelt messages of goodwill.

Matsue Castle boasts a long history, and records indicate that its lords were enthusiastic practitioners of tea culture. Their passion helped popularize Wagashi (traditional Japanese sweets), ultimately earning Matsue its reputation as one of Japan’s three great tea cities. Continuing that legacy, Matsue City led a hands-on matcha demonstration at the event, guiding participants to whisk matcha vigorously to create a thick, foamy texture. The slightly bitter matcha paired perfectly with subtly sweet Wagashi, allowing guests to savor the unique flavors of Matsue. After the tea experience, attendees also had the chance to dress in elegant summer Yukata and take photos in front of a large backdrop of Matsue Castle—creating a charming and romantic atmosphere reminiscent of strolling through an old castle town.

Beyond this cultural collaboration for the anniversary celebration, Matsue City has also launched another initiative: the Water Lantern Path Art Project. This program will be jointly developed with the University’s Department of Visual Arts and the Department of Learning and Materials Design. Together, they aim to create artistic works that symbolize the shared memories and bonds between Taipei City and Matsue City. Through the University of Taipei’s role as a bridge for international city-to-city exchange, both cities look forward to further strengthening their friendship.
