Course Search

You can search for available courses offered by the university through the following two methods:

  1. Course Quick Search
  2. Academic Affairs System → Academic Information Inquiry → Course and Instructor Search

Once you find a course you wish to take, please note down the "Course Code" to facilitate the enrollment process during the add/drop period.

Taiwan Academic Semester System:
Semester 114-2 (Academic Year 114, 2nd Semester) = Spring 2026
Semester 115-1 (Academic Year 115, 1st Semester) = Fall 2026
Semester 115-2 (Academic Year 115, 2nd Semester) = Spring 2027

Course Selection Schedule

Course Selection Process

Exchange students are required to take at least 2 courses or 4 credits per semester, with at least 1 course offered by their host department. Students must also comply with the regulations of their home university.

1. Online Add/Drop

  1. Adding Courses: Academic Affairs System → Course Selection → Online Course Selection → General Online Add/Drop → Enter Course Code
  2. Dropping Courses: Academic Affairs System → Course Selection → Online Course Selection → General Online Add/Drop → Select Course to Drop

2. Manual Add/Drop

Manual add/drop is required for special circumstances or students with special status.
Please complete the International Student Course Add/Drop Application Form. After obtaining the necessary stamps/signatures from your department and the office offering the course, submit it to the Curriculum Division, Office of Academic Affairs.

3. Withdrawal (Drop after Deadline)

If special circumstances occur during the semester that prevent you from continuing a course, you may apply to withdraw from 1 course within two weeks after the Midterm Exam week. For the latest information, please consult the Curriculum Division.

To withdraw from a course, please follow this process:

  1. Academic Affairs System → Academic Information Entry → Course Withdrawal Application
  2. Select the course you wish to withdraw from and provide the reason.
  3. Click the "Confirm Withdrawal" button. The process is complete when the status changes to "Withdrawal Noted."

After withdrawal, the course will remain on your transcript with a "W" (Withdrawal) mark. The credits will not be included in the total credits earned for the semester.

General Education (GE) Courses

Exchange students are not required to follow the university's graduation requirements for General Education; however, you may enroll in GE courses based on your personal interest.

English-Taught Courses (EMI)

To cultivate interdisciplinary integration and innovation, the university offers diverse courses taught entirely in English, covering fields such as City Governance, Humanities, Education, Urban Studies, Sports & Health, and Music.

Mandarin Language Courses

To enhance the learning experience and assist students in adapting to the culture in Taiwan, the OIA provides a three-month "Regular Mandarin Course." Upon completion, an official transcript and certificate will be issued based on attendance hours. For more details, please refer to the Division of Mandarin and International Education.
